Seven years of dots
DE.CI is born
Young architects, engineers, and entrepreneurs found DE.CI in Cairo — contemporary furniture designed and manufactured entirely in Egypt.
The DOT table — the first "dot"
The brand's first tech product: a smart table with built-in speakers, wireless charging, and app control. Yanko Design called it "the most perfect combination of Alfred the butler and Alexa" — and it became the first Egyptian, Arab, and African product ever featured on Archiproducts.
The DOT V2.1 chair — the dream grows
We launched the smart recliner on Kickstarter and Indiegogo — the campaign beat its goal more than 10 times over ($110k+). Covered by Trend Hunter, Geeky Gadgets, and The Gadget Flow, it reached homes across 3 continents and 14+ cities.
dotand.store — a global store
We launched DOT's global store with multiple currencies and languages — bringing the smart chair from our Cairo workshop to your door, anywhere, via DHL.
